Sampath K. Iyengar, fondly known as “Sam,” was invited to join the Rotary Club of Mumbai Goregaon West as a charter member in 1995. A passionate networker and early digital enthusiast, he served as Club President in 2001–02 under DG Suresh Rathod, where he initiated several community-driven and technology-supported service initiatives.
In July 2011, Sam moved to his new home club — the Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast — balancing his growing business responsibilities and proximity needs. He served as Secretary in 2014–15, and later as President in 2015–16, a landmark year in which Seacoast executed nearly ₹1 crore worth of community projects, funded entirely through CSR partnerships and donor support.
From his early days, Sampath has been known for fusing technology with service, transforming how Rotary connects, communicates, and creates visibility.

After a short sabbatical in 2019, Sam rejoined Rotary in January 2021 with renewed commitment to digital transformation and service visibility.
Outside Rotary, Sampath leads Sam 7 Computers & Networks, founded in 1989 — one of Mumbai’s long-standing IT solution providers, known for the tagline “Simplifying IT, One Connection at a Time.”
Over three decades, Sam 7 has become a trusted name for both corporate and individual clients — ensuring technology works for people, not against them.
Beyond IT, Sampath is the founder of the NeuralMaven Community, an umbrella for curated business ecosystems like The Indian Networker, IndulgeMaven, and DirectClique, connecting entrepreneurs, creators, and changemakers through meaningful, face-to-face engagements.
His mantra: “Real connections build real impact.”
For Sampath, Rotary is about continuity and contribution. He believes the future of Seacoast lies in blending tradition with technology — ensuring every member’s story, project, and purpose reaches the world.
“Service Above Self is not a motto; it’s a mindset. When service is shared digitally, it inspires others to serve too.”
