Prashant Desai, Senior Director, Everstone Group, currently seconded to Burger King India to head corporate strategy and IR.

Prashant is a CA and CWA and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector. His current responsibility at Everstone (www.everstonecapital.com) is heading Exits and is part of the Management Committee. Everstone is a Singapore headquartered private investment firm managing USD 6 billion across private equity, venture capital, industrial real estate, credit and green infrastructure.

He has previously worked closely with Kishore Biyani at Future Group on strategy, IR, investing, JV and M&A where he oversaw investments in Capital Foods (Chings Secret), BIBA, AND, Turtle, Talwalkars, among others.

He was CEO & MD at 63 moons Technologies, the promoter to MCX, Indian Energy Exchange, Singapore Mercantile Exchange, Dubai Gold & Commodity Exchange, MSEI among others.

In 2017, he became an entrepreneur and started D:FY, a truly Indian sports brand (footwear, apparel and accessories) with 17 stores across seven cities and online, which unfortunately, did not succeed.

Prashant has during the lockdown chosen to give back and started a financial education and literacy drive through his social media channels LinkedIn, Instagram (@itsprashantdesai) and YouTube with an intent to change people’s mindset towards money and help them achieve financial freedom.

He is also a personal investor in private businesses like Cleartrip, BVG Group, Vadham Teas, TopsGroup, Concord Biotech, Talwalkars, and Shemaroo.

He has also trained as a speed reader under brain coach Jim Kwik; has trained in flow (an optimal state of consciousness where you feel your best and perform your best) under Steven Kotler’s Flow Research Collective. He is a half-marathoner and has completed over 40 timed runs.
