A Lifelong Learner, Educator & Changemaker

A proud Seacoaster since 2023, [Name] brings a rich blend of professional experience, educational commitment, and community spirit to the Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast.

A graduate of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, with a DBM from NMIMS, she began her career by supporting her husband in sales, marketing, and program development at The Oriental Gramophone Record Company. Her early years also saw her actively engaged with CRY (Child Rights and You) and FICCI FLO, where she championed causes related to child welfare and women’s development.

For over two decades, she has dedicated herself to education—running a successful franchise that introduces children to the Abacus method. This innovative approach strengthens arithmetic skills, memory, and visualization, fostering confidence and focus in young learners. “Watching students transform into confident learners has been the most fulfilling part of my journey,” she says.

Family, Inspiration & Interests

Family remains at the core of her life. She is a proud mother of three well-settled children and grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, traveling, watching films, and spending quality time with family and friends.

She draws inspiration from her eldest sister-in-law Yash Kohli, and her other sisters-in-law, who she admires for balancing professional success, family responsibilities, and social causes with grace and strength.

A woman of many interests, she even enjoys driving—and has participated in rally car driving events across India.

Rotary Journey

Introduced to Rotary by Rakesh and Suman Malhotra, she joined with the intent to make a meaningful contribution to society—particularly in education, sanitation, and health projects. As a new member, she continues to explore the club’s impactful initiatives and enjoys discovering how each project touches lives.

Among her favorite memories so far is the club’s visit to Srinagar and the Machil Army Cantonment, a fellowship experience that combined adventure, camaraderie, and service in true Seacoast spirit.

Vision, Values & Service

Her guiding principle, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” echoes the Rotary motto “Service Above Self.” She believes service means putting the needs of others and the community before personal interests, and she lives by Helen Keller’s timeless words: “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

Her hope for Rotary’s future is that it continues to empower women in rural India, enhance education for children, and build sustainable livelihoods through skills and health initiatives.

She looks forward to contributing actively to all service projects, making a positive impact wherever possible, and inspiring others through her involvement and compassion.
